Hawaii International Film Festival
Dispite 27 years of delighting Hawaii’s arts and film crowd, The Hawaii International Film Festival or HIFF for short had suffered from disjointed marketing campaigns. The centerpiece of each year’s festival is a trailer or mini-movie to promote the festival and thank the sponsors. In 2008, OrangeRoc took on the huge task of developing, creating and coordinating the entire trailer and marketing campaign. Starting with a single idea for the trailer and them expanding that thought throughout all of HIFF’s print advertising, billboards, collateral, posters, catalog, credential badges, t-shirts, online web banner ads and TV spot. OrangeRoc made sure that every touchpoint of the festival campaign fit well together and made sense. It was the first time in their history that all of the marketing vehicles were handled by one agency and the result was nothing short of brilliance. OrangeRoc built on the success of its first season and continued to support HIFF through it’s next two seasons with distinct and diverse key visuals, television PSA’s, collateral, trailers and advertising. Each season was another opportunity to reinvent and creatively express the movie making and moving going experience to the public and the critics, which both gave our campaigns rave reviews.
