When people ask Kelly why she became a designer, she says, "Because I hated math and science!" Although that's true, the real reason is that she strongly believes in the power of design. My Favorite Bug is the Black Carpet Beetle. When I was little, I'd collect them (mostly on the playground) and carry them around in a mayo jar until the sad day came that my mom made me set them free. To this day we joke about the fact that our former yard was overrun by them because she told me to let them go, but didn't specify WHERE I should let them go.
